Summer is finally here, compete with the incredible joy of a cold beverage can that has been dug up from the lower layers of ice in the cooler such that a little bit of ice has wedged its way into perfect position for the delightful liquid to cascade over frozen water before bringing such happiness to one’s parched mouth….best enjoyed in the company of great friends…
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday night racing post-Mackinac has seen great Cal 25 fleet numbers out so far. This Saturday August 15 begins the second half of the DRYA season with windward/leeward racing on the C-course courtesy of the Grosse Pointe Sail Club. The Cal 25 fleet weekend schedule is as follows for the rest of the year:
Saturday August 15: GPSC (windward/leeward C-course)
Friday August 21: Edison Boat Club (distance)
Saturday August 29: CSYC (distance)
Saturday September 12: DYC Sweepstakes (windward/leeward C-Course)
Saturday September 19: BYC Long Distance (distance)
Saturday September 26: GPYC Bluenose (distance)
Saturday October 3: BYC North Channel (distance)
