Eight of us had a good fun race from GPYC to DYC on Saturday, with five different boats in the lead at one point or another. Note that only seven Cal 25s got scored – if you are not a DRYA-registered boat you need to verify with the committee pre-start that you are there. Half our fleet pulled into the island for a couple of hours to round out a very nice day with reggae music, good food, and strawberry daiquiris. Summer is here!
We are up to 19 registered for this weekend’s BOD regatta, making us the largest keelboat fleet second only to the Lightnings overall. Excellent showing despite our disappointment that none of the Port Huron guys are coming down. Note that this year registration at Bayview is available Wednesday evening as well as Thursday:
5.1 Completion of Registration: The owner or an authorized representative of each boat must complete registration at Bayview Yacht Club during the following times (EDT) and before the boat’s first scheduled race:
May 27 (Wednesday) 1500-1900
May 28 (Thursday) 1200-1830
