The CSYC Regatta saw 12 of us on the start line this past Saturday. Great job and looking forward to continued high attendance for the rest of the year. The wind vaporized and several boats motored it in early – lots of holes to fall into all around, with the first two finishers banging in within 24 seconds of each other, then a 49-minute gap to third place, then over another half hour before boats 4-7 showed up for the party.
Please join me in welcoming our newest fleet members. Kent Colpaert and boat partner Heidi Black, along with their spouses Debbie and Earl, are now the proud owners of a Cal 25 (the one former owned by Boston, then Wilhelm, then Bowler). We look forward to their joining us on the race course over the next few weeks.
We are finishing up the Crescent doublehanded racing tonight, with GPSC Tuesday nights going for several more weeks. The rest of the weekend schedule looks as follows:
