We had 9 boats last Saturday, and most came by for the barbecue afterward. The campfire was still going strong with four Cal 25 crews when I went home so it seems like the evening format was a winner. The only disappointment was not getting in a second race but it did get us to the food quicker;)
This Saturday June 21 is the Detroit boat Club Regatta. It is a very nice triangle and the weather is forecast to be pleasant. Sailing instructions here: http://drya.org/race2014/SIs/DBCSIs14.pdf
Note that we are on the “middle course” and are listed as the sixth start. First warning signal is 11 am which should put us starting at 11:30. Our course distance is 10.3 nm so the whole thing should be done before afternoon nap times. Let’s get 10+ boats out there.
Thanks,
Dave
